SØLY Bulb Rosette Ø16

Originally created for a restaurant of the same name in a coastal town north of Copenhagen, SØLY draws inspiration from seashells and waves, evoking a romantic atmosphere. The interplay of convex and concave surfaces shapes both sharp and gentle transitions of light and shadow. Timeless in expression, it brings a sensuous tactility and mounts beautifully on both walls and ceilings, seamlessly fitting into both historical and contemporary interiors.

Please note that each plaster piece is poured in a mold and hand-finished, making small air bubbles and imperfections a natural and tactile part of its ‘human’ expression. The gypsum and porcelain components may be installed as they are or painted to suit their surroundings. Additional coats of paint will gradually soften air bubbles and sanding marks, blending them into the surface.
